New screenshots from upcoming medical drama on the DS, Trauma Centre 2: Under The Knife. The first title was a runaway success, there's very little doubt that this sequel will have the same impact.

Ok, looks like we can squash those GTA2 rumours that we posted about very recently. Turns out the countdown clock was nothing other than a remanant from the old Y2K bug fix which for some reason decided to rear its head on the Rockstar website. The clock is in actuality from 1999 and is nothing more than a countdown timer to the release of GTA2 on the PS1.Oh well, them's the breaks :(

Delayed title (thanks OFLC), Dark Sector has had a demo released onto the PSN to give gamers a taste of what the full version will ship with. The demo will show gamers an introduction to the game in what sounds like a tutorial which eases you into the mechanics of the gameplay. We haven't downloaded it as yet but will do so and post an opinion here after we've spent some time hands on with it.

Qmotions, who specialise in making peripheral devices, have secured a contract with Microsoft to develop a line of wireless “full motion game controllers" for use with the Xbox 360. Apparently first off the ranks will be a full sized skateboard controller for use with a number of boarding titles on the 360 while the controller will ship with a Microsoft approved endorsement to give purchasers piece of mind that it is an official product and endorsed by the Redmond giant.

Can a ten year old game be receiving a re-release? Grand Theft Auto 2 has mysteriously popped up on the official Rockstar website in the form of a banner and a countdown clock. What's this all about now? The clock is counting down to May 22 2008 as was the case recently with the original Grand Theft Auto announced in such a manner. There have been rumours floating around for a while now of GTA1 and GTA2 ports coming to both the XBLA and the PSN, maybe these rumours are actually coming to fruition...

Anyone with a soft spot for the Sega Dreamcast would have fond memories of a little RPG gem by the name of Skies of Arcadia. Sega last year hinted at the possibility of a sequel in the near future but since last year, no more news has been heard on the issue. A familiar face from the game has been spotted recently however. Vyse from Skies of Arcadia has recently been spotted in a Japanese PS3 title, Senjo no Valkyuria ( Valkyria Chronicles ). Does this mean the Sega are prepping gamers by conspicuously...

More news from Iwata-san, Nintendo's big guy recently suggesting that the 512MB of internal memory for the Wii might be expanded on in the future. He did admit however from reports he's heard, that the number of gamers that are concerned about the proper lack of storage space is only a small issue. But he said a storage solution might be forthcoming, if anything to appease the more avid gamers. Here's hoping it becomes a reality before we have to start deleting stuff to make room foe...

On yet another case of fanboyism going way too far, the following pictures show a Nintendo fan having the NES controller permanently etched onto their skin through the process of scarification. This is ten times more painful than tattooing and probably not as aesthetically pleasing as well. I can only imagine at what the risk of infection might be like...ouch...if this real...double ouch...

Nintendo big man, Satoru Iwata has gone on record saying that he doesn't see the news that Microsoft is developing a Wiimote-like controller as a threat at all. He also added the following, " I am also aware of the rumor and have seen a fake image made by a fan on the web which looks like a Wii Remote with the rumor that such a controller may be launched, However there is no way for us to comment on such speculations. All I can say today is, it is not that easy to develop software which...

Chinese only publication, Economic Daily News reports that a company by the name of Pegatron, who is a subsidiary of hardware giant ASUS, has just been granted a contract to develop "an Xbox 360 with a Blu-Ray Disc ROM drive." Supposedly the device will be on sale from Q4 2008 which is an extremely early release for a rumour not 100% confirmed. As yet, there is no official word from Microsoft themselves but one would imagine that they would eventually bite the bullet and jump on the blu...

New trailer for everyone's favourite snake, Solid has just been released encompassing MGS from the PS1 through to his guest appearance on Smash Bros. through to his latest outing on the PS3. Before you watch it though, be warned that there are spoilers but it's still a great watch and entertaining. Inlcuding the cheeky note from Hideo himself ;)
