In Japan, Mario Kart had enjoyed top spot on the charts until Monster Hunter for the PSP took the top spot after MK spent 5 weeks at the top. Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G managed to sell 53,000 units in Japan while Mario Kart sold 42,000, still a very impressive feat. No new news to speak off on this front but it has been revealed that the version of Sam and Max heading to the Wii will be shipping with the first 6 episodes that have already debuted on PC years back. Since the news of Sam and Max hitting the Wii became public, the interest in the two rogues has sparked up again and there are talks of renewing the franchise.

Fans of another epic RPG, Phantasy Star, will now be able to continue the adventure on the move with the news that it's being ported over to Sony's PSP unit. To be specific, this adventure will be a port of the second story titled Ambition of the Illuminus. As yet the game has only being announced as having a Japanese release on July 31st 2008. An overseas retailer is taking orders online for supposedly new DS units with new unseen colours. These colours include Lime Green, Hot Red and Ice Blue with on shelf dates of June 13 2008. The shop in question is Game.es and while it could just be rumours and whizbang Photoshop skills, there'd be quite a few upset people if their orders turned out to be fake.
