Biohazard or as the Western world knows it, Resident Evil, is an extremely popular franchise spawning many sequels, movies with sequels and more importantly, pioneering the Survival Horror genre. Sure, Alone in the Dark came along years before it but RE took it and made it better. So it's fair to say that anything with the brand name on it will sell and sell big if it's rare enough. Another popular brand name is the Sega Dreamcast. Years after its demise, it still commands respect and hold...

We have our own Sonic T-Shirt from the much loved and much missed Segaworld Park in Sydney but this T takes the cake. Available only in Japan at the moment, the site states that they don't ship to Australia but the clothier, UNIQLO , also have stores in both the UK and New York. Umm, we have a UK correspondent who has never mentioned these tees to us. He has a lot to answer for.

More wacky news from Japan, a surver recently was conducted to determine what percentage of males and females used Sony's PSP and Nintendo's DS as their portable hardware of choice. Interesting results below with the pie graph. It appears that most men used the PSP while the ladies prefer the sleek lines of the DS. Also breaking it down even further, it shows that between Nintendo and Sony, Nintendo is the clear winner although this could be attributed to the fact that Nintendo's hardware...

The game's barely out and the cheating has already started on Mario Kart Wii. Apparently quite a few users have had their records deleted from the Time Trials section once the big N realised that people were submitting times based on using cheating methods. How they came to find this out and how quick this was resolved remains a mystery but you have been warned...Nintendo Is Watching!!

Amazing what you find on Ebay when you go hunting. We came across this gem of a mod which consists of an 8 bit NES unit modded up with the Triforce logo amblazoned on the top of it. Other modded specs include backlit controllers, a yellow glow from the Triforce window and power LED is green to match Link instead of red. As of writing there a smidge under 24 hours to go and it was only up to $5.50!! Even at US dollars, it's still an absolute bargain and one that you won't find too often. Check...

New York City is set to host Comic-Con next week which is exciting enough but to add even more fuel to the fires, there is speculation that this is the event that director/producer John Woo will use to announce his involvement with the much rumoured Metroid movie. The movie is supposed to be starring Kristanna Loken last seen in the Bloodrayne movie and in HBO's runaway success series, The L Word (we're big fans of this show and never miss an episode!) Apparently John Woo bought the movie...

A couple of new videos of Streetfighter IV in the Japanese arcades. The first video appears to have Blanka and what appears to be a new character, not too sure if that might be Rufus who's supposed to be fatter than E. Honda! The second video is another new character called El Fuerte which is The Strong One in Spanish. He appears to move a lot like Vega but his fighting style is actually down as Lucha Libre. If anyone's seen Nacho Libre, then you'll know where I'm coming from. Anyways...

A games writer for Newsweek, N'Gai Croal, recently showed his dismay over the recent Resident Evil 5 trailer. "Wow, clearly no one black worked on this game." That was his reaction upon seeing the trailer for the first time. "It's like when you engage that kind of imagery you have to be careful with it," he went on to explain. "It would be like saying you were going to do some sort of zombie movie that appeared to be set in Europe in the 1940's with skinny, emaciated...

With the spate of original homebrew and underground independent game development happening for the Wii and the PS3, Chris Satchell XNA Group Manager at Microsoft fired off the following salvos at Nintendo, Sony and Apple. "I think there's a potential risk on any platform where you're allowing...where you're running in what we call native mode, where you're writing straight to the metal, not a sandbox layer like XNA, and then that runs a script engine and you let people do that...
