In a sudden by Sony, they have pulled the recently announced 2.40 firmware update for the PS3 after it was shown to crash on quite a few units during the upgrade process...looks like the in game XMB might have to wait a bit longer. Sony be will addressing the issue and re-releasing the update though very soon.
