Sega has been showing much love to the Nintendo Wii of late with House of the Dead 1 & 2 Return, NiGHTS and Sega Bass Fishing all making an appearance on the Wii but now rumours are spreading out from Sweden, of all places, where they seem to believe that another massively fan favourite will be making a show on Nintendo's eponymous console, that game being Shenmue.
Swedish publication, Game Reactor, has recently published this little gem, "Shenmue is back! Sega has re-released classics like Nights, Bass Fishing and House of the Dead lately. Now it’s said that Shenmue is next. But don’t think that it’s about a new game, instead, they’re bringing back the two original Shenmue games with extra Wiimote-minigames which will be released for the Wii."
We were disappointed for all of 0.1 of a nanosecond when we realised it wasn't going to be a brand new adventure but still the opportunity to relive all the great memories experienced in Shenmue 1 & 2 was enough to start us salivating at the thought. Now of course if this is just their idea to drum up sales and it turns out they started a vicious and cruel rumour...well...we hope their kneecaps accidentally break!!
