Konami have confirmed that there will be another game in the hunt for Dracula Castlevania series titled Order of Ecclesia exclusively for Nintendo DS due Fall 2008. The game will feature Konami's new Glyph attack system where players will be able to string together combos to unleash special attack combinations and powerful moves on the undead. And for a change to the series, this game will take players outside the legendary Dracula castle giving gamers a chance to view vistas from the forest to the ocean.
Anthony Crouts, Vice President of Marketing for Konami Digital Entertainment, had the following to say, "We have always felt that the Castlevania franchise has been an excellent fit on Nintendo DS, and based on the popularity of the DS classics, Dawn of Sorrow and Portrait of Ruin, our fans agree, we fully expect Order of Ecclesia to ignite the fan base once again as it combines the classic Castlevania gameplay with an all-new combat system and outdoor environments.”
