Activision have announced that in a move to break a 9 year tradition, there will not be a Tony Hawk game released this year. Activision CEO Mike Griffith announced, "We're inventing Tony from the ground up, for competitive reasons we're not going to talk about it today, but we're very bullish on the kind of innovation it will bring, and it won't be your father's Tony Hawk."
The only thing we'll be seeing of Hawk this year will be another foray onto the Nintendo DS so what they're saying is only partially correct. Moving onto the COD series, Mr. Griffith did reveal that the new forthcoming COD5 will be set in "a new military theater" but apart from saying that, there wasn't anything else to report on that front. Guitar Hero will be whored the hell out of with Activision that they'll be tripling their releases in the new fiscal year for the franchise.
And lastly new games will be Quantam of Solace based on the new James Bond movie incorporating the COD4 engine, a movie game based on Madagascar 2, the latest Spidey adventure, Spiderman: Web of Shadows and a sequel to Marvel Ultimate Alliance.
