An update on the latest happenings with movie adaptations with the latest to receive the Hollywood treatment being none other than Bioshock. Bioshock the movie will be helmed by Gore Verbinski of Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy fame who has shown that he can make a movie with a water theme and do it well if box office takings are anything to go by.
"I think the whole utopia-gone-wrong story that's cleverly unveiled to players is just brimming with cinematic potential," Verbinski was quoted as saying on BioShock. "Of all the games I've played, this is one that I felt has a really strong narrative."
John Logan will be penning the script, his scripting duties have included The Last Samurai, Gladiator, The Aviator and more recently, Johnny Depp vehicle, Sweeny Todd.
