The PSP absolutely reigned for the month of April in Japan with sales nearly doubling the DS. Figures for the PSP equate to 380,000 units while the DS came in with 170,000, that's a ratio of 2 to 1 in the PSP's favour according to Japanese magazine publisher, Enterbrain. Having said all that however, Nintendo is still owning Sony in the console market with sales of the Wii being 5 times than that of the PS3. The PSP's strong sales are still due to Monster Hunter Freedom 2G for the handheld which has enjoyed raging sales over the past 2 months.
