We all knew it would happen and mostly does with HUGE releases in the gaming world/industry but there have already been reports trickling in that some retailers have been shafted by their distributors with the release of GTA IV today in Australia. The distributors have just not been able to keep with consumer and retailer demand and have been shortchanging some stores with particular emphasis on independently run stores reporting little to no stock of the limited editions of GTA IV for both the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions. Hopefully as the week unfolds this issue will be rectified but for now, it's left frustrated store owners having to deal with irate customers demanding their pre-order money back so they can buy it elsewhere. Whatever happened to a bit of patience and store loyalty??
