Reports today from Nintendo that they have forecasted selling another 25 million Wiis over the next 12 months bringing the total up to 50 million. Absolutely staggering. Their profits have already gone up 50% to $2.5 billion for the Japanese fiscal year and overall Nintendo racked up sales totalling $16.2 billion. In a statement Nintendo added the following, "Nintendo's strategy is to accelerate the current sales momentum from 'must-have for every family' to 'must-have for everyone'. They intend on achieving this "continuously introducing new and unique software, and new services which take advantage of its expanded installed base."
Nintendo aslo shipped 30 million DS units last year alone.
