Capcom's Public Apology

A few days ago, we came across an interesting story regarding the front cover of the Okami game cover where a clearly visible watermark of the IGN logo was visible. Looks like some art editor got a tad sloppy and lazy and couldn't be bothered getting the authentic artwork from the art department and just googled the hi res image for it. Well anyways now, Capcom is saying sorry to all those affected gamers and to make up for it will offer to send you a brand new cover of the game as it was intended to be seen. Might be worth holding onto it don't you think??

This from the Capcom admin blog on their site, "I can honestly say that my worst day at Capcom was this Monday, the folks who work here at Capcom are, in fact, human and can make mistakes."

"As fans know, the real art of Okami is on the game disc itself, but given the artistic nature of this game, we'd like the outside of the box to match the beauty contained within," continues the post. "To that end, we're offering a free make-good gift to our fans. If you purchased Okami for the Wii, for a limited time, you can choose from one of the three art pieces below and Capcom will ship a high-quality version of the box cover straight to your door."
