After listening to constant reports of faulty Mario Kart Wii discs for the past couple of days, Nintendo has finally come forward and flatly denied any issue with the disc whatsoever. They do acknowledge that there was an issue with Super Smash Bros. Brawl as it was a dual layer disc and some of the Wiis had a dirty lens cover and couldn't scan the disc properly but they have assured us today that MK Wii is not a dual layer disc and therefore any problems with the disc not been able to be read is not with the disc itself but with the Wii and a dirty lens reader. You can send the Wii back to Nintendo and they will arrange for the Wii to be cleaned...there's that or people could just vaccum more and not handle the discs with greasy fingers. That and no smoking inside the house around the Wii either.
