Crytek, developer of frantic PC FPS Crysis, revealed recently that they had completed some preliminary work on porting the CryENGINE 2 over to the Xbox 360 and the PS3 and gotten some spectacular responses from the hardware. The CryENGINE 2 is what powers both Far Cry and Crysis - PC titles, these are the two games to date that have incorporated this game engine. Does this mean that seeing Crysis on a home console is a possibility? One would surely think and hope so as Crysis is a helluva game as any PC gamer can attest to.
