Wiiware has already got a few strong titles for it and is building momentum with great game like newly released Dr. Mario. Now developer Telltalkes promises to build on that with their release of new game, Strong Bad's Cool Game For Attractive People. With a strange title like that, we had to let the people themselves explain what it's all about.
"In this particular first episode, you're really doing your best to make
Homestar's life miserable, but then in future episodes you get to run your own
country and you get to get involved in a hardcore metal rock band -- every
episode kind of has its own stories but it all ties together in the same
universe." - Mark Darin, Lead Designer
"You get to control Strong Bad and go around and basically try to make
everybody's lives miserable and yourself more awesome in the process." -MD
"With him, you've got this guilty pleasure of playing the naughty boy. The
license is very innocent, but Strong Bad himself is almost completely self
serving. He has no particular moral compass." -Dave Grossman, creative director
"In the first episode, he gets kind of jealous of the attention that's being
paid to another character, and what he does about that causes a lot of problems
for him that he then feels like he has to undo." -DG
"We're trying to put a whole bunch of console friendly things in there.
There's more collectible finding and searching and achievement-based missions
than you'd find in your standard point and click adventure game." -MD
"We're trying to go with a totally icon-based conversation system, so that
there's a very minimal amount of text to read on screen. You just kind of get
the idea of what you want to talk to characters about. So if Homestar's watching
TV and you want to know what's on, just click on the TV." -MD
"There are going to be some things that are going to have specialized Wii
controls, but we're very careful to not just put those in arbitrarily...in the
parts where you're playing the old-style games, you do the thing of holding the
controller sideways and using it like an old-style controller." -DG
