Oopoona Storms Onto Wii

One area where genre's are lacking for the Nintendo Wii is in the Role Playing Games. This is due to change very soon with the news that a new cutesy RPG is coming to the Wii with the odd title of Oopoona. The game from the studio of Arte Piazza who were privvy to input from Dragon Quest developers, Shintaro Majima and Sachiko Sugiura. The soundtrack has also benefitted from experienced, Hitoshi Sakimoto, who has provided soundtracks for the Final Fantasy franchise specifically FF XII. With all this going for, the game has some mighty expectations to live up to.

The title derives from the name of the main character, Oopoona, whi is a member of the Tizian race. Oopoona and his family are en route to a vacation when their spaceship carsh lands on planet, Landroll. Just before the crash, the elders were able to escape in escape pods but poor Oopoona is now separated from his parent and siblings. The game will then consist of Oppoona travelling to different colonies trying to get renited with his loved ones. The game should prove an interesting twist on the RPG genre when released later on in the year.
