Gamers looking to satisfy their driving urges on the go with Polyphony's driving pocket simulator, Gran Turismo 4 may have to wait a tad longer unfortunately. Coming from head honcho, Kazunori Yamauchi, creator of the GT series, "We had been developing the PSP version, but the problem was that the PS3 version
took much more time and effort than we had first imagined, so that's been delayed - I don't think we'll be able to make the end of this
year for the PSP version, but we are working on it." So there you have from the horse's mouth, delayed because the PS3 version is taking so long. Maybe they should be focussing on releasing a finished product as opposed to selling people a demo??
Kazunori-san continued, "Once we experienced PS3 online and went through all of that, we came to the
conclusion that PSP should not be a standalone product - it should be linked in
to the world of Gran Turismo, linked with the PlayStation 3."
So now they're talking not just integration with the PS3 but also sone kind of link with the online capabilities?? Maybe the wait may be worth while after all?
