Bleach DS gets a Sequel

Fans of Bleach (such as us) will be pleased to know that the Nintendo DS will be receiving a sequel to the first Bleach adventure, Bleach: Blade of Fate. Very little is known about the title, called Dark Souls, but we can show some pics below that show the layout of the screen is markedly different to the first fighter. Don Mesa, Director of Marketing for Sega America said the following, "With an exclusive storyline, an expanded playable character roster and spectacular new Bankai moves, Bleach: Dark Souls is set to build upon the critical success of Bleach: Blade of Fate." The stort this time will take place between the first 2 season and revolves around the Soul Society storyline arc and Ichigo's quest to save Rukia from being executed.

"The Bleach franchise continues to gain momentum with anime fans and gamers alike in North America and SEGA is there to create a robust and exciting gaming experience that stays true to its anime roots," Mesa added. This time around there will be a huge roster of 44 different players for you to pick from including the ability to play as Hollows for the first time. What is unknown is whether the Hollows will just be no name fighters or whether they'll be Espada members.

There will be four player fights over the Nintendo Wi Fi connection and it will also support download play. Screenshots below, folks.
