Ex-head honcho at Sony, Phil Harrison, has just been signed up with Atari, parent company of Infogrames, as President and "Directeur Général Délégué,". We can't translate French, sorry but it sounds like bigwig of something or other. Phil said the following of his hew appointment, "This is the perfect time to join Infogrames and help shape the future of Atari - one of the industry's legendary brands. As the game business moves rapidly online I believe we have an outstanding opportunity to create amazing network game and community experiences for players the world over."

On top of that, he'll also be on the board of directors as well as overseeing the studios and content development for the 2 groups.
