Holy Lego, Batman!! GDC 2008

Building on the success that was Lego Star Wars, the building blocks have their sights set on Gotham City and their dark defender, Batman. That's right folks, Lego Batman is heading our way on multi platforms. The game is being developed by Traveller's Tales who have managed to craft an engaging story with the cutesy images that we've come to expect from anything with the word Lego before it. The following bandits were briefly shown during the demo at GDC: The Penguin, Killer Croc, Scarecrow, Harley Quinn and of course, The Joker. Robin was also shown during the brief stint with the hands on demo. The Penguin comes complete with his trusty penguin bomb launching umbrella. This also enables him to whisk himself out of harms way. As is the case, punching anyone into any building is going to result in the building's demise in a comical display of Lego bricks scattering everywhere. The Xbox 360 was the console on which the demo was running and the extra development time Traveller's Tales have had has paid dividends. The game already looks amazing and is sure to be yet another winner when it gets released later on in the year.
