The Nintendo DS keeps building on it's strengths and now the news that the popular courtroom drama title, Phoenix Wright is continuing in the form of Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney will have a lot of people hotly anticipating this title. The game continues the fine style that Phoenix Wright started and developer Capcom have delivered yet another gem with this one. Familiar face like the Judge all make a return trip for Apllo Justice keeping the franchise fresh yet new at the same time. The style is exactly the same as the previous 3 titles which isn't a bad thing, if it ain't broke, don't fix it!! You'll still get a chance to play the amateur sleuth as you travel to crime scenes, talk to people and pick up clues. The manner of interrogating witnesses in the courtroom is unchanged as is the style in which evidence is presented. You start off with relatively simple cases but before too long, this game will have you scratching your head wondering where the last clue or evidence may lie that will lead to the prosecution of the accused. Something new that has been added when cross examing witnesses is the way Apllo uses the Psych-Lock. What this means is that Apollo will have the ability to accurately gauge when a character is lying by subtle changes to their behavior. This has been done before but it's in the way that Apllo uses it that makes it a fresh approach.
This game has just been released in the States so fingers crossed it finds a local release in Oz byut having said, we all know how long the first Phoenix Wright title took to come over here :(
