Ign have given Wipeout Pulse a whopping 8.8 on their site. No surprise really when you consider how successful the first one with its silky smooth tracks, pumping soundtrack and realistic difficulty curve. The new title vastly improves on the first in that you don't have to progress through the slower classes first, you can just jump straight into the thick of it and hang on for the ride.
There are 12 new tracks all with unique twists and hairpins and of course signature straights where you cam scream along at over 500kph. The AI can be a tad dead sometimes but this is a minor oversight, the rest of the game is joy to play. This game has everything going for it, in fact the only downside which is massively inforgivable is that Australia has to wait until Dec /07 for its release!! Import anyone??
